The Choose Kindness Project
One in five children experience bullying, and many teens struggle to even talk about loneliness. The Choose Kindness Project set out to spark meaningful change by uniting parents, teachers, and students around accessible tools on bullying and mental health. As part of an agency team, I helped conceive of how that mission could show up digitally for the first time, shaping a platform built to shine a spotlight on resources that make a real difference in kids' lives.

Problem statement
There was no existing digital presence for The Choose Kindness Project, so the challenge was building one from the ground up that could resonate with multiple audiences facing very different needs, from parents and teachers to students themselves, all navigating overlapping crises around bullying and mental health.
Solution
Through stakeholder interviews and team workshops, I helped shape a story and content strategy that could speak to these different audiences without flattening their distinct needs into one generic message. A key piece of this was designing a searchable resource taxonomy using a Mad Lib style structure, letting users first identify which group they belonged to, then surface the specific types of resources relevant to them.
This structure made the platform's robust library of toolkits and resources easy to filter and act on, helping parents, teachers, and students find guided, intentional next steps rather than getting lost in a sea of information.
